More importantly, the staff, led by Eric Smith, is focused on strong design, meticulous presentation, constant and courteous communication, highly detailed plans and drawings, excellent craftsmanship and the highest quality of construction.
The office works collaboratively with other professionals including interior designers, landscape designers, engineers, contractors and a wide range of special consultants such as geotechnical, technology, security and acoustical advisors so that services and amenities are seamlessly integrated into finished rooms and spaces.
The portfolio is varied and wide-ranging: it includes a renovation of a repurposed 1900 Greenwich Village apartment to become a pied a terre to sophisticated collectors of modern art; a Nantucket inspired second home on Lake Michigan; an historically referenced farmhouse in the Northeast; a riverfront renovation and expansion of a 1920’s-era house in Jacksonville, Florida; since 1986 the firm has completed several new and renovated homes in the Aspen area; the restoration of an 1890’s Upper East Side townhouse for a family with four young sons; Lakeshore Drive high-rise apartments in Chicago and the historically referenced renovation and expansion of a Queen Anne home on Shelter Island, among other exciting projects. Most recently completing a 5 year program of new main house, game house, barn and several outbuildings on a plantation outside of Charleston.
